About us
We know you have a lot of great churches to choose from in Fairview, West Virginia, and we encourage you to check them out. If in your search you find yourself on our doorstep, we will welcome you with loving arms. Our goal is to be an authentic community of believers who are learning to love Jesus and love others more and more each day. Come as you are - Noah's Ark Assembly of God is a friendly and informal church. There's no need to dress up, unless it makes you feel more comfortable.
At Noah's Ark Assembly of God, we believe the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the inspired Word of God, inerrant in the original writings, complete as the revelation of God's will for salvation, and the supreme authority in all matters to which they speak. We further believe in one God, creator and sustainer of all things, eternally existing in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit; that they are equal in every divine perfection and that they execute distinct and harmonious offices in the work of creation, providence, and redemption.
About Receiving Christ: We believe the Biblical pattern for receiving Christ includes acknowledging that Jesus Christ is God's Son, repenting from personal sin, and inviting Christ to be Lord of your life. (1 John 1:8-9; Romans 6:1-7)
About Separation of Church and State: We believe that each local church is self-governing, and must be free from interference by any external ecclesiastical or political authority; that every human being is ultimately responsible to God in matters of faith and life; and that each person is free to worship God according to the dictates of his/her conscience. We further believe that governments are established by God; that Christians, as good citizens, should be subject to governing authorities insofar as possible, recognizing our greater allegiance to God and His kingdom in matters wherein human authorities conflict with clear, biblical mandates.
The ministries of Noah’s Ark are solidly built around the scripture of Ephesians 4:15-16 which says: 15 Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. 16 From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows, and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work. Each ministry is activated by the anointing and power of the Holy Spirit to build the kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. As the Pastor of Noah’s Ark, I want each member to find their place in His Kingdom and use the talents and gifts given to them by their heavenly Father. Each believer has a calling in their life to fulfill that calling. Matthew 6:33 challenges each believer to seek the Kingdom first.... At Noah’s Ark we want each believer to find their place in God’s Kingdom through the directing power and guidance of the Holy Spirit so that Jesus will be glorified in all we do for Him. Each Ministry offered at Noah’s Ark was created so that the saints of God can find a place of ministry for their calling. Each ministry was created so that their relationship with Jesus and other believers can be strengthened, and that the gospel of Jesus Christ can be shared with others. John 13:35 Tells us: 35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” The ministries offered at Noah’s Ark want to fulfill this scripture to its fullest!

Patty Stuzen Haught
Senior's Ministry "Cornerstone" Leader
I was asked to become director of a new ministry, at the time, called Senior Ministry by Pastor Delas Stuzen, and we met for the first time on March 14, 2006. I’ve had a long-time interest in seniors and actually hold a graduate certificate in gerontology from West Virginia University. But my passion for the church seniors evolved around my observation that seniors had so much wisdom and experience and were frequently not actively involved in church services or church events. I felt led to work with this group to make certain that all seniors felt valued and appreciated. I have aimed to encourage spiritual and social growth through Bible Study and scheduled social events. Over the years as I have aged, I am even more convinced that the senior ministry is a vital part of our church

Beth Steele
Pastor's wife & Women's Ministry Leader
Pastor Beth Steele has extensive history of ministering to women. She has a passion for seeing Women transformed into who Christ has called them to be. She is a successful business woman and understands the demands of women today, being bi-vocational , a wife, mom, ministry leader, and grandmother! Through her devotion to Christ, it’s her desire to teach women how to find freedom in Christ, freedom to be EVERYTHING that Christ has called them to be!

Becca Copeland
Young Adult "Refiner's Fire" Ministry Leader
All my life I have sought a seat at the table, to be accepted, invited, valued, and loved unconditionally. I never found that seat at any table in the world, in relationships or any other door I opened. I took the long way home enduring many things, some were the consequences of my poor choices. My Lord and Savior Jesus was always waiting for me, saving my seat at His table. At Women’s Ministry Retreat 2023, I gathered with women of all ages, coming from all different backgrounds. There I found deliverance from the pain I carried most of my life. He humbled me, bound up my wounds and restored me, then confirming my calling to teach others about The Way, The Truth and The Life that I found in my seat at His table. Come and find yours, everyone is welcome!

Grief Share Leaders
“A GriefShare support group is a safe, welcoming place where people understand the difficult emotions of grief. Through this 13-week group, you’ll discover what to expect in the days ahead and what’s “normal” in grief. Since there are no neat, orderly stages of grief, you’ll learn helpful ways of coping with grief, in all its unpredictability—and gain solid support each step of the way.” The weekly videos feature nationally respected grief experts and real-life stories of people, and the video is followed by a small group discussion about what was viewed. Past participants have related how helpful the information and follow-up discussions were to them. Of course, sharing is optional! All materials for these sessions are provided by our church, with no cost to participants. Another plus of this program is that videos are also available online to rewatch or to watch if you miss a session. Dates will be posted and advertised when sessions are offered. The two of us have each suffered loss of friends and family members throughout our lives. However, when we both became widows, we found ourselves looking to our “tribe” of friends to get us through the days. There is nothing like an understanding shoulder to lean on! We believe that God has led us to reach out to those who are grieving in our communities, offering friendship, solid counsel from experts, and a shoulder to lean on!

Praise & Worship Leader
Youth Ministry Leader
“This is why I remind you to fan into flames the spiritual gift God gave you when I laid my hands on you.” 2 Timothy 1:6 NLT A ministry dedicated to raising up disciples, able to stand firm in their faith through a life of worship, prayer, and reading of the word - that they may go into the world and make disciples of all nations. Ephesians 6:10; Matthew 28:19-20
Noah’s Ark has a rich history of vibrant, authentic worship. Worship is an expression of love and praise towards God which overflows from our hearts and into our entire lives, not just the songs we sing (Romans 12:1). We are to live our lives for the glory of God - this is true worship. Leading the congregation in worship is a tremendous joy and honor! It’s a privilege I take very seriously. Many hours are spent in careful consideration of each song and prayerfully seeking the Lord’s direction. As I look back, I clearly see the thumbprint of God stamped on my life. I was the lost sheep the Great Shephard left the ninety-nine for and the woman at the well. I will sing His praises and glorify His Name all the days of my life. I will praise you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things you have done. I will be filled with joy because of you. I will sing praises to your name, O Most High. - Psalms 9:1-2

Terrie Bowers
"MPact" Girls Club Ministry
Hello my name is Terrie and I am the leader of our Girls Ministry. This ministry is aimed at teaching our young girls and ladies (ages 3-18) how to live Christ-like lives and teach them how to make Godly choices in their lives. You can think of it like Godly Girl Scouting in a way. I felt led to lead this ministry because having a daughter of my own I wanted her to be surrounded by Godly women to have good role models to look up to and to know she can always go to them for good Godly advice. Some girls do not always have the best role models in the World to look to so I want the opportunity to show them there are women living for Christ and are always there for them to come to.
Duane Parker
"Forge" Men's Ministry Leader
I took over the men's ministry November of 2023. Pastor Doug Steele asked me to think about being the leader. I started praying about it and at first I wasn't sure if I had been called, but felt that God wanted me to be in this position and so, I accepted. The men's ministry has been a blessing to me and others as well. Our goal in Forged is to help men become strong Godly men, better men, better husbands, fathers, and grandfathers. Also, to encourage men who are leaders of the church and their household and men who put Jesus first. They will be given opportunities to train themselves to be representatives of Jesus in everything we do. And, to step up to any opportunity God lays on our heart or puts out in front of us. I hope to continue this ministry for many years to come.
